Cyber Monday & Shopping Online at Hot Spots

It’s Cyber Monday and a boat-load of folks will be shopping on-line. Most will be doing so from work, but some will be doing so from their favorite hot spot. It is for the later that I offer a warning. Window shopping from an unsecured wifi is fine, but don’t complete your transaction with a credit or debit card. It is easy for someone to grab your information as it is sent from your wireless computer to the unsecured router.
Find what you want on-line then bookmark it. Once you get home or to a secure router then complete the transaction. To be double-safe make sure the site you are purchasing from is secure. Look in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser. You should see a lock.
